The very first sport to begin the
year is always Cross Country Running. Goulbourn has a fine tradition
of dedication in this field, and we are looking to continue.
The Annual Richard Kee run is traditionally held in October.
The whole school participates in this fun school event. Students
who place in the top ten of their category also qualify for
the team.

Twenty-five grade 6 students attended the regional cross country
meet at Walter Baker Park on October 15, and came home with
happy, smiling (if chilly) faces. Our teams did not place in
the top 3, but there were a few top 20 finishes.
There were awesome results in the intermediate division on
October 12, just before the big downpour. Both grade 7 teams
brought home first place banners, the grade 8 girls' team placed
second, and our school was the grand aggregate champion with
the best score.
There were 2 gold medals (Ashley W. and Jake O.), 1 silver
medal (Robyn E.), and numerous ribbons, top twenty finishes,
and personal bests.
The Board-wide meet took place on a lovely summery day. Of
the 63 runners who went to regionals, 50 returned to race against
runners from across the entire board. A 4th place finish was
our best result, but students can be VERY proud of their efforts.
